Ottie’s Fun Box offers a place to experience the magic of learning through play. Play is not just a frivolous activity; it is a gateway to knowledge and personal development. From the early stages of childhood, play becomes a fundamental way to explore the world, experiment with ideas, create, and build essential life skills. Through play, we develop cognitive abilities, problem-solving, and social emotional skills. Dr. Shayla Means-Williams
Welcome! My name is Shayla. I am a Doctor of Occupational Therapy and Educator. I am a mom of four. I’m a creative and spend most of my day thinking about ways to help kids have fun while learning. When not working with my own children, I can be found in various schools and homes, educating teachers and parents on how to facilitate a fun learning environment where their child(ren) will flourish, matriculating to the next developmental and academic milestone. My goal is to assist you in helping your child learn and grow, through various approaches. Whether addressing social emotional, physical, or cognitive development, I want to guide you through helping your child achieve success through a stress free, natural approach…..playfully.

A few additional things to know about me:
- I enjoy a good workout. It makes me feel strong and centered. In addition, it has a huge positive impact on my mood.
- I like good music (60’s, 70’s, 80’s, 90’s- any year after…..meh).
- I enjoy plant based eating (I’m not vegan).
